Job Title: Director Work for Warriors NC (WFWNC)

Location: Raleigh NC
Reports to: SSS Director G1 Contracting Officers Representative (COR)

Position Summary:
The WFWNC Director oversees strategic planning program coordination and staff management to ensure all employment initiatives support long-term stable employment for eligible military personnel and their families. The Director is responsible for setting goals measuring performance ensuring policy compliance and acting as the liaison for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or seven (7) years of direct experience in employment assistance and program coordination.

  • Experience in training teams on employment services.

  • Familiarity with apprenticeship programs and journeyman certification processes.

  • TRADOC (Training and Doctrine Command) experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain records for strategic planning goals focused on full-time financially sustainable employment.

  • Manage Employment Counselors and ensure PWS (Performance Work Statement) compliance.

  • Coordinate with various military and support offices (Yellow Ribbon Family Programs etc.) to maximize candidate outreach.

  • Create staff engagement events; propose and execute upon COR approval.

  • Track and submit certifications and training compliance to COR.

  • Analyze program performance data monthly and present reports to leadership.

  • Deliver quarterly reports with strategic recommendations and support BYR funding documentation annually.

  • Ensure SOPs are updated per policy and guide working groups to develop best practices.
