Job Description

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team in Macclesfield with occasional travel to other local sites (within 1 hours drive).

On a day to day basis you will report into our Engineering Team Leader and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair predominantly to our machinery but will include some buildings maintenance.

Hours

Days: Monday Friday 08:00 to 16:45.

Friday 07:00 15:00 after a successful probationary period.

The person

Essential

  • Educated to HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Extensive Electrical knowledge 16th or 17th Edition Wiring regulations progressing to 18th
  • Experience in an engineering maintenance or service role is essential.
  • Excellent fault -finding skills are crucial especially; motor drives temperature controllers able to fault find on PLC and other control systems.
  • Competent in mechanical repairs
  • Ability to facilitate repairs under pressure and with excellent attention to detail
  • Driving licence
  • We will also consider part qualified candidates with a view to developing skills and experience however you must have an industry recognised electrical qualification ( diploma / city & guilds) this Is non-negotiable. The salary will be considered in line with skills and experience.

Desirable

  • Experience carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
  • Flexible and able to adapt to situations as they occur
  • Able to work in a team and independently.
  • IT literate; including Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook) Gradus CMMS system.
  • Familiar with building maintenance tasks
