Job Description
** Contract Opportunity Available - No Visa Sponsorship options for this role . Hybrid Work 2-3 days work from client office in Downtown Toronto OR Mississauga**
We are hiring a seniorKotlin Back-End Developer to develop distributed microservices that support trade capture lifecycle processing and risk computation for the ABS Platform. This role involves close collaboration with technology and business stakeholders in securitized products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop microservices inKotlinusingSpring Bootand reactive programming.
- Implement core trade booking pricing and lifecycle event workflows.
- Integrate with Kafka-based messaging systems and upstream/downstream APIs.
- Ensure performance reliability and test coverage of services.
- Work closely with architects product owners and quants in a global environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Strong knowledge of capital markets and equities tradingprocesses.
- 6 years of back-end development experience including strongKotlinorJavaexpertise.
- Experience withSpring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Prior exposure toFixed IncomeABS orstructured financesystems is a strong advantage.
- Experience with messaging (Kafka MQ) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Understanding of system design and distributed computing.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
- Strong problem-solving skillswith the ability to prioritize multiple tasks set goals and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills capable of articulating complex technical concepts in a multicultural team environment.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
