Job Summary

Student Counseling Services (SCS) is seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join the Multicultural Outreach Team (MCOT) as a part-time Graduate Assistant. This position plays a key role in supporting ongoing multicultural programs developing new initiatives in response to campus needs and coordinating outreach efforts that promote equity and inclusion across the university community.

Additional Information

Multicultural Outreach duties include:

1. Assist in organization and implementation of several ongoing programs for the SCS Multicultural Outreach Team (MCOT)

2. Assist with creation and implementation of new programming based on the needs and feedback of our campus community.

3. Coordinate requests for workshops and programs from campus partners (students faculty departments

4. Collaborate in marketing plan for MCOT.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a passionate team committed to supporting our campus communities through meaningful outreach and engagement.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$755 for 0.25 FTE appointment

Required Qualifications

1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in one of the following academic programs: Criminal Justice Family Consumer Sciences Psychology College Student Personnel Administration Social Work Sociology Communication

Work Hours

Flexible but primarily between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm weekdays; some evenings and/or weekends required.

You must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University and/or for the number of hours required for the position.

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held. International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work up to 28 hours per week when the university is not in session. Please contact the Office of International Student and Scholar Services for guidance on visa restrictions on work hours. The University cannot grant exceptions to visa status rules/laws.
