The Hitachi Energy India Operations Center (INOPC) houses over 3000 energy transition technologists in three locations from grid automation transformers high voltage products grid integration and service businesses. Spread over 300000 sq feet with nearly 50000 sq feet of dedicated lab space the center brings under one roof diverse engineering capability that has been built over the years fostering collaboration to advance the worlds energy system to be more sustainable flexible and secure. The opportunity:
HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and HVDC Light are highly efficient alternatives for transmitting bulk power and for special purpose applications. The classic HVDC technology is used to transmit electric power over long distances by overhead transmission lines or submarine cables. It is also used to interconnect separate power systems where traditional alternating current (AC) connections cannot be used. HVDC Light is a power transmission technology developed by Hitachi Energy that offers additional benefits compared to HVDC Classic. You will work mainly with electrical design of main circuit equipment in projects with medium to high complexity.

To successfully take on this position you need to be thorough and structured with a high technical interest and strive for good solutions within the set time limits. You will be involved in projects tenders base and R&D work.
To grow with each task enable yourself to develop and take more responsibility. HVDC is a complex product will require time dedication and effort to learn.
Study and verify the HVDC station design from several different technical aspects.
Handle the interface with stakeholders from other departments. Ensuring you understand their needs and they yours and to work for a good corporation for best end results together.

Your background:
Electrical Engineer minimum Master of Engineering level
Extensive knowledge of Layout Engineering electrical and Mechanical Calcualtions
Understanding and design of Grounding Lightning Insulation and EMF Studies.
Preferably knowledge on IEC/IEEE standards
Proven skills in using computers as a calculation tool.
Preferably experience of power system simulation tools such as CDGES COMSOL AutoCAD NX.
Strong interpersonal communication skill Fluent English
Extensive knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose such as Power Transformers Capacitors Reactors Instrument Transformer and measuring equipment Circuit Breakers Disconnector Surge Arrester etc.
Knowledge in selection sizing and integration of above equipment based on customer functional specification.
Full-Time
