As a Residential Financial Resource Specialist at Horizon you will
- Assistresidents in residential treatment to secure financial resources by working with Dept. of Social Services Veterans Affairs Social Security Administration as well as NYS Healthcare Market Place.
- Actas a liaison between clientsand Dept. of Social Services
- Assist clients in obtaining food stamps.
- Approvemonthly vouchers for shelter and PNA
- Appealbenefit denials
- Issuepaybacks
- Assistin discharge planning for residents
- Assist clients as well as outpatient staff with insurance issues
- Complete insurance eligibility checks
- Assists UR department with obtaining authorization for residential level of care.

- Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.
OR
- Associates Degree with 1 year of human services experience required.
OR
- High School Diploma with 3 years of human services experience required.

Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $19.00 - $20.00. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
Physical demands associated with this position include:
- Sitting for extended periods alternating between standing and sitting
- Mobility required with repetitive wrist hand and finger movements
- Handling light duties occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
