Job Description
Womans Hospital is seeking a dependable patient-focused professional to operate our mobile mammography unit and support community-based breast health services. This role involves safely driving the unit to scheduled off-site locations and performing daily/monthly inspections. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the unit coordinating any needed repairs and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience driving a Class B vehicle and must have a valid commercial drivers license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must display a working knowledge of all operations inside and outside the mobile unit.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of traffic laws.
- Basic computer skills are needed. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees outside vendors and the public.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures mobile unit is fully prepared and inspected before driving off-site each day. Keeps daily log of mileage fueling and submits paperwork each month.
- Drives in a safe and timely manner to designated locations (does not drive if any condition is felt to be unsafe). Uses safest and most direct route.
- Obeys all traffic and safety laws and practices defensive driving techniques. Stays constantly vigilant of surroundings height of trees and space for safe vehicle operation.
- Maintains interior and exterior cleanliness of unit on a daily basis or as needed. Advises supervisor if interior or exterior cleaning is needed or any repairs are needed.
- Records mileage fuel purchases and other expenses in log on a daily basis (for mobile coach generator and truck). Submits all receipts and documents to supervisor at the end of the each week.
Schedule:
Full-Time
Monday - Friday (with some Saturdays as needed)
Day Shift - schedule may vary depending on site scheduling
Pay Range:
Hourly; Non-Exempt Position
$16.38 - $25.00
