This posting is for 3 engineering student positions in Lloydminster. After submitting your application you will receive a screening questionnaire where you can indicate your preferences.
Possible placement includes:
Corrosion Engineering: You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure effective monitoring treatment and mitigation of corrosion risks. This role offers hands-on experience in technical assessments risk analysis and continuous improvement of asset integrity. Preferred discipline of study: Corrosion or Materials Engineering
LTCHO Measurement: You will support regulatory measurement compliance across Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil facilities in Saskatchewan. This role includes validating field data assisting with audits and developing measurement schematics. Preferred discipline of study: Mechanical or petroleum Engineering
HMGP Mechanical Engineering: You will provide technical support to a multidisciplinary team in maintenance operations and engineering. Your tasks will include conducting engineering investigations reviewing designs and providing technical support for equipment and infrastructure. This role builds skills in troubleshooting cross-team coordination and applying engineering standards in field and office environments. Preferred discipline of study: Mechanical Engineering

What youll do
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned to but they may include:
Corrosion Engineering
Design and implement corrosion monitoring programs to assess the corrosion status across various systems.
Support the development of water and chemical treatment programs for corrosion control.
Contribute to risk-based integrity assessments failure investigations and technical audits.
Provide input into specifications standards and procedures related to corrosion management.
LTCHO Measurement
Assist with audits and reviews of measurement documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Validate Field Data Capture (FDC) entries including fuel flare and vent volumes.
Collaborate with Production Accounting Engineering and Process Data Information Management & Measurement (PIMM) teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Support resolution of metering discrepancies plant balances and proration concerns.
Mechanical Engineering - HMGP
Complete engineering investigations (EIs) and document findings in technical memos.
Review crossing and proximity requests for work near pipelines to support safety and damage prevention.
Provide technical support to internal teams for repairs and project improvements.
Participate in design reviews risk assessments and failure investigations.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canadafull-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g. work visa).
Available to begin work in September 2025.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
We acknowledge the value of transferable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
Education
Must be enrolled in a Mechanical Petroleum Corrosion or Material Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work termOR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
