Job Title: Process Engineer

Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

How will you make an impact:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ottawa ON Canada. What will you do:

As a Process Engineer you will:

  • Develop configure and optimize operational processes
  • Assess processes take measurements and interpret data.
  • Design run test and upgrade systems and processes.
  • Develop standard methodologies routines and innovative solutions to enhance production rates and improve the quality of output.
  • Perform process simulations.
  • Handle cost and time constraints.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Ensure processes align with GMP ISO 13485 and other regulatory standards.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency.

How will you get here:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience
  • Confirmed work experience in process engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of process-related standards.
  • Hands-on experience with process simulations.
  • Familiarity with health and safety guidelines.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within the medical devices sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
