JOB SUMMARY
Join our wonderful team as a Billing Specialist and make a meaningful impact on your community! Falls Community Health is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to support our mission of providing high-quality medical and dental care to all patients. In this role you will be part of a team that addresses medical and/or dental billing inquiries and assists patients in determining their eligibility for financial assistance. You will prepare billing statements input charges and resolve claim rejections and denials. Additionally you will enter payments and maintain accounts receivable submit Medicaid Medicare and third-party insurance claims for payment. If you are detail-oriented caring and passionate about making a difference in public health this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something bigger!
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years experience in a medical office environment dealing with coding and billing of Medicare Medicaid insurance plans payment collections and medical records; or any such combination of education experience and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

OUR COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS SUMMARY
Competitive salary with other public and industry positions including step advancements.
The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.

11 paid holidays and 2 personal leave days each calendar year.
New employees are granted 40 hours of vacation at time of hire and accrue an additional 2 weeks in their first year.
Sick leave accrues over 96 hours per year.
