The Department
The Department of Nursing Education and Health Studies offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is housed in the state of the art Health Education Centre located inside the award winning Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
The Role
The Nursing Education and Health Studies department is seeking a full time sessional Medical/Surgical Clinical Instructor from August 15 2025 to April 30 2026.

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree current registration with CRNA and two years of full-time experience in nursing practice in medical/surgical nursing areas are required. A Masters Degree in Nursing or a related discipline is preferred. Previous experience in teaching or supervision of students is desired. Experience with student-centered learning approaches would be an asset. Equivalent education and experience will be candidates will be professionals with a positive attitude towards education; have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with students; be able to work independently and work collaboratively with colleagues; and demonstrate the ability to be self-directed and motivated. You will be able to give guidance and direction to others creatively find solutions to challenges and be aware of goals and vision of nursing education. Working knowledge with computers word processing programs and Outlook would be an asset.
Candidates must be registered have a current practice permit and be in good standing with the applicable health professional regulatory college in accordance with the Health Professions Act. The candidates who are notified for an interview will be required to provide their registration and practice permit at the time of the interview.
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening.
