The National Indigenous Knowledges Education Research and Innovation (NIKERI) Institute holds a history of over three decades as a space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to undertake higher education. NIKERI sits within the Faculty of Arts and Education but maintains a specific role profile and responsibility across the whole of Deakin and various communities.
The Faculty of Arts and Education is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching learning creating and social development and fostering cutting-edge research and discovery. The NIKERI Institute places high emphasis on research that makes a difference and is solution-led. We work closely with industry partners and the government to put findings into practice.
About the role:
The Lecturer Indigenous Studies will lead unit teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to deliver unit learning outcomes and continuously improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will initiate design and conduct productive high-quality research scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs in their discipline area. The Lecturer may lead research activities and is expected to engage collaboratively to develop novel research outcomes.
