High school diploma or GED and two or more years of dental assisting experience. Completion of a dental assisting training program. CPR certification. (3 Hourly)Position Description:
This position is in the University of Louisville School of Dentistry Specialty Practice area located at 501 South Preston Street Louisville Ky. 40202 This position serves as the communication link between the student providers and both their patients and the supervising faculty. They offer administrative technical and procedural support to the students throughout their time in the specialty area and are dedicated to helping them graduate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with faculty peers and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care within the dental specialty practices.
Works closely with faculty peers and supervisors to ensure that consistency in operation is maintained among the groups.
Tracking patient lab cases where appropriate.
Manage instrument needs for daily schedule
Place supply orders
Seats and checks in each patient within their provider team.
Serve as chairside assistant when necessary.
Maintains the cleanliness of associated chairs and checks that equipment is functioning properly.
Stocks rooms and helps to maintain overall inventory.
Reviews the patient Electronic Health Records and assists the providers with accuracy of notes and corresponding codes.
Maintain HIPAA OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Dental Assistant and with an electronic health record
database. EDDA Certified Certified in Dental Radiology and Coronal Polishing preferred. General
knowledge of Oral Hygiene and radiation safety

Target Compensation Maximum:
$27.85Target Compensation Minimum:
$18.56Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
