Job Description

Role summary/purpose of job

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely addressing payroll-related inquiries and ensuring compliance with firm policies and federal and state regulations.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • Perform the tasks related to the semi-monthly payroll cycle accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll and benefit audits.
  • Assist with report requests.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining the accuracy and proper storage of all Payroll documentation including policies processes and forms.
  • Prepare funding requests for payroll tax filings HSAs FSAs and retirement plans.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns.
  • Support the broader Total Rewards team by addressing requests from internal and external clients as needed.

Key requirements (Communication/skills/experience)

Essential

  • Previous experience with multi-state payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of payroll best practices and regulations.
  • Knowledge of benefit programs such as FSA/HSA 401k administration etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to create a friendly and professional rapport with attorneys staff and external parties.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters and respond effectively to such matters.

Desirable

  • FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ADP and Workday preferred.
