Job Description
The Conservation Management Institute is seeking a field biologist to assist with multiple field research projects across various taxa and locations. This person will be responsible for working collaboratively with project managers to design and execute various field work tasks including species surveys (plant and animal terrestrial and aquatic) habitat monitoring and management and related data management. The successful applicant will have exceptional naturalist skills across multiple taxa including birds mammals insects and plants. This person must be able to travel frequently and be able to work under a range of field conditions including cold weather and rugged terrain.
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in wildlife sciences or comparable natural resources discipline
Considerable direct experience working on wildlife and natural resources field projects
Preferred Qualifications
Strong demonstrated naturalist skills particularly with animals and plants of the eastern US
Ability to identify birds in the field both visually and aurally
Knowledge of and experience with terrestrial and aquatic species sampling techniques
