Job Description

Description

The Director of Client Operations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing client onboarding through stead-state with responsibility to grow existing clients organically overtime providing an excellent client experience within our sales organization. This position ensures operational excellence drives client satisfaction and supports revenue growth by optimizing processes leading cross-functional teams and serving as the primary escalation point for key accounts. The Director will collaborate closely with sales account management and logistics teams to deliver best-in-class solutions tailored to client needs. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills excellent communication abilities a deep understanding of 3PL operations and tech stack (WMS/OMS) knowledge and expertise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Owns the development and creation of the client onboarding strategy this process is to be leveraged/executed by the cross- functional team.
    • Serve as the primary operational contact for key clients ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
    • Lead client onboarding implementation and ongoing service delivery processes.
    • Proactively identify and resolve client issues acting as an escalation point for complex challenges.
    • Provide leadership and support to Account Managers to uncover organic grown opportunities and drive wall share expansion.
  • Implementation Management:
    • Collaborate with internal teams (IT Operations Customer Success etc.) to ensure systems and processes are aligned with client needs.
    • Facilitate the setup of transportation management systems (TMS) warehouse management systems (WMS) OMS and other tools.
    • Ensure proper integration of client data into company systems and provides accountability for resolving any technical issues or issues such as billing etc to provide a seamless client experience.
  • Project Management:
    • Track and report on onboarding progress ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are completed.
    • Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of onboarding processes and client-specific requirements.
  • Team Management:
    • Build lead mentor and develop a high- performing team fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and accountability
    • Role will coach/mentor/train the cross functional support team to drive 3PL knowledge and client excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Gather client feedback and collaborate with internal teams to improve onboarding processes.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the client experience and owns the ongoing client journey optimization efforts.

Education and Experience:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10
  • Type of Experience:
    • Extensive experience in client facings roles onboarding implementation or project management within a 3PL operations or logistics environment.
    • Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) order management system (OMS) warehouse management systems (WMS) 3PL operations and supply chain operations.
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Transportation management systems (TMS) order management system (OMS) warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain operations.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships and lead a team
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Language Skills: English written and verbal communication skills
