Job Description
JOB DUTIES:
- Keep parts department up-to-date on delivery schedule;
- Maintain cleanliness and operability of delivery truck;
- Obeys all traffic laws and follows established traffic procedures;
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures;
- Observe and report customer information including customer buying habits and competitive intrusion;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Perform other duties as directed by Management;
- Fill customer orders and ready them for delivery;
- Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers;
- Load Parts trucks in a safe manner securing all items in the bed of the truck;
- Retrieve parts returns and report them to Parts Manager or responsible Counter Person;
- Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operates the vehicle within the safety guidelines;
- Presents bill and receipts and collects payment for goods delivered or loaded;
- Pick up parts and equipment from customers satellite stores and vendors per;
- Follow all delivery and pick-up processes and protocol to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Properly check in our daily order as well as orders throughout the day if available.
- Help maintain inventory heath by participating in cycle counts.
- Placing new stock in the proper bin location.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Prompt and courteous demeanor;
- Valid Drivers License with Clean Driving record;
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Must be detail oriented;
- Ability to drive vehicles with a standard (manual) and automatic transmission;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Able to bend kneel squat stand and lift heavy objects as needed;
- Unrestricted drivers license and clean driving record;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to occasionally lift or move 100 pounds from floor to waist with assistance;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions parts catalogs and procedure manuals;
- Proficient computer skills. Ability to use a smart phone or hand-held device;
- A valid in-state drivers license and a good driving record per company standards.
SCHEDULE
MONDAY-FRIDAY: 7:00AM-3:00PM - NO WEEKENDS!
