About the Role:

12The Team: Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) is part of S&P Global Market Intelligence providing data insights and analytics to wide range of customer segments.
The Impact: As part of a small but impactful team within RVS technology supporting over 900 technologists across 3 business areas youll have the opportunity to identify and implement engineering efficiencies at scale to bring value to workflows and our products.

- Shape and lead initiatives that improve engineering efficiency to bring value to our businesses.
- Expand your network collaborating directly with technology data and business leads across many groups.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement modernization roadmaps that enhance scalability and reduce operational overhead; partnering with business and technology leads in RVS and across other business lines to deliver results.
- Conduct analysis and gain insights on technology costs; develop compelling business cases that articulate the ROI of efficiency initiatives to stakeholders.
- Understand business and technology roadmaps across RVS to identify and implement efficiency opportunities and that lead to measurable outcomes.
- Partner with technology leads to identify efficiency opportunities and implement solutions at scale.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technology to inform modernization and efficiency strategies.
What Were looking for: The ideal candidate has a combination of technical expertise with hands on data driven problem solving skills and excels at communicating technical concepts across both technical and non-technical audiences.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in technology or related field or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of software development or equivalent experience in areas such as cloud engineering DevOps business systems analysis etc.
- Proven experience in technical debt identification analysis and remediation.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering practices along with experience working in global teams using agile methods.
- Experience with performance optimization code refactoring and/or system modernization.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools to track and present efficiency data and metrics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud engineering or related certifications is beneficial.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language preferred.
- Knowledge in supply chain shipping intelligence and/or financial markets a plus.
