The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors our staff and our communities. Currently employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Community Development Manager to join our dynamic Donor Relations & Field Operations team.
TheDonor Relations & Field Operationsteam is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services bygenerating and identifying leads building a pipeline of potential donors building relationships and ensuring the growth and maintenance of a high quality committed donor base. In this role you will also be responsible for community engagement and maintaining a good public image for the donation centres to ensure there is ongoing public support.
Formula for success
- Drawing on your sales experience you will actively manage and develop the current sales pipeline by identifying potential opportunities for further engagement conducting regular follow-ups and nurturing relationships with existing partners.
- You will be responsible for developing a strategic account plan with your partner to grow and enhance donor engagement and retention.
- Execute national integrated recruitment plans to achieve donor base growth and retention.
- Works closely with the Business Development Manager Development Team and Integrated Marketing Team to identify new opportunities and areas for improvement with current relationships.
- Monitor account performance analyze metrics and provide partners and provide partners and internal stakeholders with regular insights.
- Organizes and executes partner events to nurture relationships with targeted groups and organizations.
- Develops and maintains positive and collaborative working relationships with other leaders across the organization and specifically with the Integrated Supply Chain within the Region.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate partner life cycle.
Desired education and skills
- 2 years post-secondary education within a relevant discipline preference in marketing and business programs and degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in sales account or relationship management.
- A combination of education training and experience may be considered.
- Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools as well as general computer skills (MS Suite).
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; comfortable public speaking to various sizes of audiences.
- Solid background in the successful management and delivery of multifaceted projects.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license is required.

- Flexible work schedule is required as events occur during the day in the evening and on weekends sometimes on short notice.
- Must be physically able to complete job duties which includes: lifting up to 50 lbs loading/unloading vehicle setting up venue long periods of travelling and standing and/or sitting.
