The AC Technician will be responsible for installing maintaining repairing and troubleshooting air conditioning systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. The role requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to maintain a comfortable and safe indoor environment.
Install maintain and repair various types of air conditioning systems and equipment including split units package units chillers and central air conditioning systems.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including cleaning inspecting and replacing components to ensure efficient operation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in air conditioning systems and determine the appropriate repair or replacement actions.
Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Perform leak tests and recharge systems with refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
Inspect and test electrical components wiring and controls to identify issues and ensure proper functioning.
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for all work performed.
Collaborate with other technical staff and management to address HVAC-related issues and provide solutions.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime of air conditioning systems.
Ensure that work areas are kept clean safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
ITI/Diploma in Air Conditioning Refrigeration or HVAC.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an AC Technician or in a similar role.
Knowledge of HVAC systems refrigeration cycles and related safety practices.
Certification in HVAC/R (preferred but not mandatory).
Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems and their components.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams schematics and manuals.
Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems associated with HVAC equipment.
