Job Description
- Lead the development coordination and maintenance of 3D BIM and 2D CAD deliverables for airfield components (pavement lighting drainage signage etc.).
- Interpret civil and airfield engineering designs and translate them into accurate detailed BIM models and CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit Navisworks and other relevant tools.
- Establish and manage BIM execution plans (BEP) specific to airfield infrastructure.
- Collaborate with airport planners civil engineers and MEP teams to integrate design data and resolve design clashes.
- Ensure all models and drawings are compliant with local and international standards (ICAO FAA GCAA etc.).
- Support the setup and maintenance of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and digital workflows.
- Conduct clash detection quantity take-offs and visualization reviews using BIM tools.
- Mentor junior CAD/BIM technicians and contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain documentation and revision control of all drawings and models in accordance with project procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering Drafting or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in CAD/BIM with at least 5 years in airport or airfield-related projects.
- Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit Navisworks Manage and BIM 360.
- Understanding of airfield design principles including pavement design drainage design airfield lighting design and utility coordination.
- Familiarity with ICAO FAA and local aviation authority standards.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary design environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Additional Information :
- BIM certification (e.g. Autodesk Certified Professional buildingSMART).
- Experience with GIS integration and digital twin platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g. Dynamo Python for BIM).
