Job Description
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Adobe Commerce experience will be a vital member of the McFadyen Team. This role focuses on ensuring the performance scalability and reliability of high-volume Adobe Commerce environments. Working for large clients the SRE will monitor systems respond to production incidents and proactively improve system health. This role requires a proactive approach excellent communication skills in English and availability for on-call support once a month.
This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to support business needs or perform system maintenance.
Responsibilities

- Ensure the availability performance and scalability of Adobe Commerce platforms.
- Respond to and resolve critical incidents participating in monthly on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation and monitoring solutions.
- Analyze system reliability metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding incident status resolutions and root cause analyses.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage production issues and escalations coordinating with support and development teams.
- Contribute to incident reviews and documentation of best practices.
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure and application logs and metrics.
- Identify opportunities for performance optimization and automation.
- Participate in infrastructure and deployment planning to enhance system reliability.
- Maintain high standards of operational excellence and documentation.
Qualifications :
Top 5 Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps professional with Adobe Commerce.
- Strong understanding of incident management and system reliability principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.
Other Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic Datadog Grafana).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash Python etc.).
- Adobe Commerce certifications are a plus.
