Our team is seeking an Transportation Engineer for our Bureau of Field Services Team. We are looking for someone who can embrace the challenges of meeting our goals and exceeding the standards!
This position provides engineering services in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Operations section in the Transportation System Management Operations (TSMO) Division. This position performs assignments in Congestion and Reliability including the development analysis and evaluation of safely optimizing traffic movements on Michigans state trunkline highway system. This position also supports the acquisition analysis evaluation maintenance and reporting of data pertaining to Traffic Incident Management (TIM) and the Michigan Traffic Incident Management Effort (Mi-TIME) training program.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (9) level through the maximum rate at the advanced (12)level. Education
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering is preferred.
ExperienceTransportation Engineer 9 - 12
Possession of a registered professional engineer license as required by the State of Michigan may besubstituted for 6 months of experience at the Transportation Engineer 9-12 levels. This substitution mayonly be used once for any employee for qualification of appointment or early reclassification.
