Job Description
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking a part-time instructor to teach in person Psychology courses at the undergraduate level. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach in-person sections of PSY 1010 (General Psychology) and PSY 2410 (Child and Adolescent Psychology) in person at Chillicothe Southern and/or Zanesville . Online options may become available. PSY 1010 (General Psychology) Introduction to psychology. Survey of topics in experimental and clinical psychology including physiological bases of behavior sensation perception learning memory human development social processes personality and abnormal behavior. PSY 2410 (Child and Adolescent Psychology) Basic principles of human development from the prenatal period through adolescence. Theory and literature on physical cognitive and socioemotional development. Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. Future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face hybrid or via technology. This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
1000-Level Psychology Courses: Minimum Credential: Masters degree in Psychology or a Masters degree and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of psychology-relevant graduate course work. Degree earned prior to start of appointment. 2000-level and above Psychology Courses: Minimum Credential: Ph.D. in Psychology. Degree earned prior to start of appointment.
