Job Description
Who we are looking for
We have an ongoing full-time position for a Financial Accountant based in Warrnambool. This position comes with a generous salary of $88863 to $96615 p.a. plus superannuation.
Were looking for a qualified accountant to support our Financial Controller. Youll help with treasury management external and statutory reporting and contribute to the wider financial accounting activities of Wannon Water. This role is key to helping us meet our strategic goals while ensuring excellent service is provided to our internal teams and external partners.
Description
What youll be doing
On a day-to-day basis youll:
- Assist withthe preparation of the annual report financial statements and notes including interpretation and application of new and existing accounting standards.
- Provide support in the administration of insurance policies including claims renewals and liaising with insurance brokers and providers.
- Produce financialreports and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake treasury management for the corporation including cash forecasting and management of the debt portfolio.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in finance systems and workflows.
Skills And Experiences
What youll bring
Were looking for someone with
- Associated tertiary qualifications and either CA or CPA post-graduate qualifications.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and budgeting in a business environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage different user groups to implement improvements to systems and processes.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analyticaland problem-solving abilities and confidence using accounting software reporting platforms and excel.
