POSITION OVERVIEW - $75000-$85000
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die / Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting maintenance repair and preventative care of multiple stamping products and related equipment. This role also involves operating and maintaining various machine shop equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED required
Technical Machine Tool & Die certification or equivalent related experience required
Minimum of 5 years of machining or Tool & Die experience required
Full compliance with all safety practices regulations and company policies
QUALIFICATIONS
Steel Service Center experience preferred
Dependable with strong attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to read and follow written instructions and verbal directives
Understanding of machine-specific safety procedures and operational guidelines
Strong math skills including fractions and decimals
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical diagrams
Proficient in general maintenance knowledge
Team-oriented with strong self-motivation
Physical capability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform tasks involving visual acuity standing walking and bending
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance and machine setup functions
Read and interpret technical drawings for machine specifications
Operate conventional machines including lathes milling machines drill presses surface grinders CNCs and band saws
Set up and prepare tooling dies and equipment to meet production specs
Communicate with operators maintenance personnel and supervisors across shifts
Maintain accurate records for the Tool & Die and critical spares programs
Work with a variety of stamping dies including progressive and transfer dies
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to understand product requirements
