Job Description
As the Maintenance Engineer you will perform special maintenance projects manage small investment capital maintain maintenance procedures perform general maintenance engineering tasks and support the maintenance function for the site. You will report directly to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager and will work with maintenance techs maintenance supervisors reliability personnel and operations to implement maintenance strategies that support safety quality and production goals. You will work onsite in Lake Charles LA.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical engineering tasks related to equipment design troubleshooting and modification
- Lead special assigned maintenance projects
- Provide engineering support on repetitive or complex maintenance problems
- Update and draft maintenance procedures
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Review vendor drawings for compliance to site standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is required 10 years of directly related maintenance engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 3 years of experience required; experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance setting is preferred
- Be able to understand and apply maintenance procedures
- Have a working knowledge of process safety management
- Understand technical drawings specifications and equipment documentation
- Use computer systems (Microsoft Office SAP preferred) for data entry analysis and retrieval
- Familiarity with equipment operating in corrosive and erosive processes preferred
