Utilize your experience in drug and alcohol treatment and make a difference in the lives of inmates at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Laurel Highlands! We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist 1. If you are looking for a new way to apply your skills and aid those struggling with drug and alcohol dependence this is the perfect position for you!
As a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist 1 you will participate in the beginning level professional care treatment and rehabilitation of drug and alcohol dependent people at SCI Laurel Highlands. Under the guidance and supervision of a higher-level professional you will work closely with inmates patients and residents in preparing individualized treatment and recovery plans. You can expect to provide supervised one-on-one treatment sessions deliver professional counseling and make appropriate referrals for inmates. You will also facilitate group therapy sessions community meetings and other therapeutic groups as assigned. Additional duties include completing discharge classification and parole summaries for your assigned inmates and maintaining treatment records.
