Job Description

Position Overview:

In the Assembly Technician role you assemble wire fit and modify work in the manufacture of medium and high voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies breaker and auxiliary compartments breakers customer service orders power modules and any sub-assemblies associated with these.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm

In this function you will:

Work to manufacturing information electrical and mechanical drawings sketches written or oral instruction from supervisor or engineering and also to established procedures. You will be expected to read mechanical drawings.
Mount and install electrical and mechanical equipment including mimic bus paint floors covers etc. as needed.
Receive pick label pack and prepare for shipment all material and assemblies leaving the facility.
Operate a forklift and/or crane as needed.
Maintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages to appropriate operators.
Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
Respond to change notices customer requested adjustments and development needs.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Greenwood facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.


Preferred qualifications:

At least 3 months of experience using hand and air tools
South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
