DIRECTOR OF SOFTWARE SERVICES
SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic forward-thinking Director of Software Services to lead the strategic direction integration and evolution of the software ecosystem that powers our rapidly growing operations. This role is not just about managing property management systemsits about owning and optimizing the full stack of applications that support our operations teams.
As the key technology liaison to operations this leader will oversee the end-to-end software lifecycleselection implementation integration support and transformationensuring that technology enables scale efficiency and exceptional user experiences. This is a high-impact leadership position requiring deep application fluency strong systems thinking cross-functional collaboration and the ability to drive innovation in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the software application strategy for all operational platforms across the company aligning technology decisions with business priorities and growth goals.
- Oversee a suite of enterprise applications including but not limited to RealPage Yardi Entrata CRM systems resident portals and integrations with HR marketing and accounting systems.
- Drive systems integration and data connectivity ensuring a cohesive and streamlined flow of information across platforms.
- Build and mentor a high-performing software services team focused on excellence in system administration project execution and user support.
- Serve as the internal product owner for software used by our property and corporate teams continuously improving the user experience and operational outcomes.
- Lead implementation and optimization efforts for software rollouts and upgradesensuring change management testing training and successful adoption.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across departments to understand operational needs and translate them into scalable technology-enabled solutions.
- Establish strong governance and documentation practices including user training resources process standards and application support protocols.
- Monitor application performance usage trends and vendor support escalating issues and identifying opportunities for cost savings or strategic improvements.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies bringing forward solutions that foster innovation and operational excellence.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven ability to manage complex software environments in the multi-family real estate or property management sector.
- Advanced knowledge of RealPage is essential; Yardi and Entrata experience is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of enterprise systems application architecture and data integrations.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking mindset.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and navigating both strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a bias for action and accountability.
- Exceptional communication skills capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable in a transformational environment with a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems Computer Science Business Technology or related field.
- 5 years of leadership experience in software systems or operations technology roles preferably within real estate or related industries.
- Experience managing full software stacks integrations and vendor partnerships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Google Workspace and enterprise project tools.
