Job Description

Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced therapist with a passion for delivering evidence-based therapy to adults in a PHP/IOP setting. Specifically we are looking for a therapist with experience working with individuals who have mental health needs resulting from trauma and/or trauma related stressors.

As a Primary Therapist youll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings collaborating with patients outpatient teams and leading patients through their overall treatment program. Youll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams including Group Therapists Family Therapists and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.

Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility and consists not only of our widest variety of programs but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.

What Youll Do

  • Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as other evidence-based therapies
  • Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
  • Coordinate care with patients individual providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Assess patients progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
  • Communicate with patients family members or support system when indicated
  • Complete initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program
  • Chart in our electronic medical records system
  • Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team
  • Provide group therapy as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • Masters level or Psychologist with or eligible for one of the following licensures: LSW LPC LCSW LCPC MSW AMFT LMFT PsyD or PhD
  • Have 2 years of post-Masters clinical experience (Preferred)
  • Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or trauma related stressors
  • Have experience with patients in crisis and a strong passion for working within high acuity environments (preferred)
  • Have excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Can assist families/loved ones and patients in talking about difficult topics

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including but not limited to your years of experience type of experience location and education/certifications. Compensation

$55000 - $90000 USD
