Job Description

Overview

St. Lukes HealthSugar Land Hospital offers the latest technology and treatments for residents of Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston. Our services range from heart care and neuroscience to robotic surgery. Our recently opened Family Birthing Center offers incomparable care and amenities in a spa-like environment to provide a VIPVery Important Pregnancyexperience. Since 2008 our experienced doctors nurses and support staff have provided expert care to support our community.

We are offering a 5k sign on retenion bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision the Radiologic Technologist (AART) II is responsible for operates radiology
equipment to make imaging films as directed by physicians and performs radiographic and cardiopulmonary
procedures for routine diagnosis and treatment purposes. Performs specialized procedures for diagnosis and
assistance in the design of treatment for patients including venography myelography and gastrointestinal
exams.

1. Produce and perform all diagnostic radiographs procedures to be interpreted by the physician or radiologist.
2. Position patients and adjust equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures.

3. Examine radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density and contracts definition
magnification and distortion.

4. Take x-rays of various portions of the body in order to diagnosis disease or
injury.

5. Follow safety principles radiation protection and the general comfort and care of the patient. 6.
Record test results and monitors patient data.

Qualifications

Required:

*Associates degree preferred

*One (1) year of experience

*Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R); must maintain current

*Certified by State of Texas MRT; must maintain current

* CPR/BLS
