Salary: $55000 $60000 PA (pro rata based on experience)
Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services (Winnunga AHCS) is Canberras only Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Based in Narrabundah we provide culturally safe holistic healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the ACT and surrounding regions. Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs nurses allied health specialists social health workers and administrative staff.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. Working 2021 hours per week Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 4:00pm (flexible within that window) you will assist the Facilities Manager in maintaining the premises and ensuring that fleet-related responsibilities are met.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
General outdoor upkeep including lawn mowing whipper-snipping garden edge trimming and cobweb removal
Basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g. inspecting door locks/handles)
Cleaning tasks such as balconies and handrails
Rubbish removal and restocking kitchen/office supplies (milk tea water tissues etc.)
Vacuuming and maintaining fleet vehicles
Supporting WH&S standards by identifying and addressing risks or hazards
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience in maintenance or general repairs (preferred but not essential)
A proactive reliable and hands-on approach to work
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good time management and communication skills
A current drivers licence
