Job Description:
As a Cable Technician specializing in structured cabling and security you will play a crucial role in our team. Responsibilities include:
Structured Cabling:
- Installing maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in new construction commercial environments such as Hospitals Data Centers Airports and Commercial Retail facilities.
- Conducting maintenance on existing cabling systems and tenant improvement projects.
- Test newly installed or relocated cables to ensure they comply with company specifications.
- Installing wireless access routers patch panels and various internet technology devices.
- Learning and executing troubleshooting procedures in accordance with company standards.
- Installing cable support structures including j-hooks cable racks and inner-duct.
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting low voltage systems with a preference for greater technical expertise.
- Termination experience with Category 5 5E 6 6a fiber strands over 100 and copper
- Installation of overhead cable supports J-Hooks and cable running lines properly aligned with cable trays.
- Termination experience with Category 5 5E 6 6a fiber strands over 100 and copper.
- Proficiency in finish work including the installation of faceplates and device labeling.
Requirements:
- Conduct structured cabling security/access control and related cable system installations for large commercial projects.
- Maintain a professional appearance and exhibit a positive and respectful attitude.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of professional experience; willing to train the right candidate.
- Possess a valid drivers license valid car insurance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a company-standard drug screen and background check.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Available for 40 hours per week.
