In accordance with Marian Medical Centers mission the Registered Nurse (RN) will demonstrate the following in their practice:

* The ability to manage the quality of patient care through the nursing process.
* Proficiency in coordinating the plan of care with the health care team.
* Demonstrated leadership ability in supervising personnel and assisting them with their roles.
* Knowledge and experience to competently and autonomously perform advanced skills such as but not limited to internal transport intubation placement of an umbilical line and placement of a peripheral inserted central catheter (PICC).
* Willingness to assume responsibility for tasks such as but not limited to the completion of unit competency assessments the annual safety review and CPR certification renewal.
* Adherence to all hospital policies including maintaining continuing education units as required by the institution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years of experience at a Community or Regional Level Newborn ICU work experience. Other candidates to be considered on an individual basis and attributes
• Registered nurse with 3 years of experience.
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current approved health care provider CPR - BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• Current NRP certification within 30 days of employment.
• Associates degree and other speciality specific training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Greater than 5 years of experience.
• BSN and/or Masters degree.
• NICU certification - National certification in NICU.
• STABLE and transport certification.
• LACTCON certification.
