Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Sustainable Housing Support Officer on a 2.5-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 17.59-21.89/hour

Summary:

The Sustainable Housing Support Officer provides front-line housing support to individuals with complex and multiple needs who are placed in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) and other supported housing arrangements. Working within Enfield Councils Street Homelessness Service the officer ensures clients are able to sustain tenancies access appropriate services and maintain stability through proactive support and partnership working.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred housing support and develop Sustainable Housing Support Plans to improve clients tenancy sustainability and independence.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs including those with experience of rough sleeping and ensure ongoing support through casework management.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners including housing providers social care community health teams and voluntary organisations.
  • Provide practical advice and assistance to clients on income maximisation debt reduction and accessing employment and benefits.
  • Promote user involvement and participation through peer-led initiatives and group work.

Requirements:

  • High level of education or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Experience delivering housing support services to homeless individuals especially those with multiple/complex needs.
  • Proven ability to manage casework in compliance with legislation and safeguarding policies.
  • Familiarity with welfare housing homelessness legislation and relevant public service procedures.
  • Ability to work independently manage performance targets and maintain accurate data records.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
