About the role
We are currently recruitingaZone Substation Estimating and Scheduling Officerto join ourTransmission Servicesteam. This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment. but preference would be Wagga Wagga.
The Zone Substation Estimating and Scheduling Officer is accountable forproviding high quality accurate estimating services and administration assistance to the Transmission ServicesRegional Team within the Infrastructure Operations Division to compliment and ensure the delivery of quality organisational and Network plans. The Officer will ensure the estimation of projects preparation of work ordersand maintenance logs is carried out in timely and efficient manner meeting the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the identification collation and entry of relevant information and data into business system estimation programs for the preparation of Transmission Servicespreliminary works estimates works instructions and development of related job progressand completion reports as required to meet the needs of the business
- Undertake the initial interpretation interrogation and refinement of business system databases to ensure work estimate outputs and workorderinstructions meet the quality guidelines of theTransmission Servicesbusiness needs
- Assist Senior Engineering Officers in the development and implementation of works estimates to meet forecasted targets and budgets while optimising relativities between operational and capital works
- Assist Senior Engineering Officers in the scoping of related works for Zone Substation design estimates and maintenance work packs and ensure accuracy of costs and hours with relevant field managers
About You
To be successful as aZone Substation Estimating and Scheduling Officer you will possess:
- Experience in collating and verifying information and data for work pack development and project management theory and application
- Experience in assisting in the development implementation and reporting of completed works against project requirements
- Experience and skill in data entry information maintenance and provision of reports
- Experience and ability to use estimating asset management mapping and finance software packages for the preparation of work estimates.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a professional and collaborative manner with all stakeholders key business units sponsors and customers
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Project Management or Certificate IV in Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
