JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to develop and debug test programs for SPEA 4060 Flying Probe testers using Leonardo OS2 Fly OS. Responsibilities include troubleshooting PCBAs improving test processes conducting failure analysis and collaborating with engineering teams. Must have experience in test program development failure analysis and electrical schematics interpretation. BSEE or equivalent experience required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop and debug test programs using Leonardo OS2 Fly Operating System for SPEA 4060 Flying Probe testers.
  • Lead debugging and troubleshooting efforts for PCBAs and power test stations; collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Document manage and troubleshoot PCBAs and power test stations to ensure accurate functional testing.
  • Develop maintain and continuously improve work instructions (WIs) troubleshooting guides and test documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership coaching and training for operators technicians and engineering support staff.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to track job status report test yields and support first-pass yield improvements.
  • Conduct failure analysis (FA) and communicate discrepancies or issues promptly to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Investigate test issues manage re-configurations and revision changes per customer requirements ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Evaluate emerging test technologies and methodologies; provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in defining Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with product design teams to enhance testability.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve programming or minor machine issues related to the flying probe tester.
  • Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage efficiency and throughput.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in developing test programs using Leonardo OS2 Fly (SPEA 4060 preferred).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics BOMs and component datasheets.
  • Familiarity with production test development including Design for Test (DFT) principles.
  • Experience using various test equipment and conducting thorough failure analysis (FA).
  • Hands-on problem-solving approach blending hardware and software solutions effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and lead technical teams.
  • Experience writing clear detailed test procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects learn new skills and assume new responsibilities as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent work experience required
  • Advanced or specialized experience in electrical testing design or systems integration is preferred
