PURPOSE

The Assistant Director of Assessment Intervention and Data assists with all aspects of data program evaluation state and district accountability assessment and response to intervention services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Coordinates all district-wide and state mandated assessment activities.
Supports and recommends advancements in district assessment practices.
Interprets and communicates results of state and district assessments.
Serves on the district Assessment Committees.
Advise and consult on district and building level RtI initiatives.
Advise and consult on building level data and intervention teams.
Support and advise principals on the use of data and data analysis.
Support systems for making educational data more accessible to administrators and teachers.
Prepare and interpret data with regard to educational implications.
Assist in supervision of the Assessment Intervention and Data department

  • Reviews and makes recommendations on research proposals from external researchers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports To: Executive Director of Assessment Intervention Data and Innovation

Supervises: Supports supervision of AID hourly and professional staff

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum: Masters degree with relevant experience in assessment and data-based decision making. Missouri teacher certification.

Preferred: Doctorate in Education with extensive leadership and data-based decision making background.

Ideal Candidate:Direct experience with Missouri MAP testing supervision of staff and data analytics.

ADA REQUIREMENTS

Language: Read and interpret documents; Write routine reports; Communicate instructions to employees Present information to staff and administrators; Respond appropriately to questions; Keep information confidential as required by law policy or the nature of a particular situation

Computation: Apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations; Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and analyze data; Demonstrate the analytical skills necessary to resolve complex situations

Reasoning: Solve a variety of problems in many different situations; Interpret instructions presented in written oral diagram or schedule form; Demonstrate executive functions such as planning organizing remembering and regulating information; Receive and resolve complaints; Define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions; Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy confidentiality timeliness and logic

Technology: Demonstrate strong computer skills including word processing and working with spreadsheets and databases; understand and submit online reports; Learn new systems and software

Physical: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods lifting up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and considerable dexterity in operating office equipment; Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Sensory: This position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision hearing and speaking.

Other Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal and non-verbal communication skills; Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills; manage multiple tasks simultaneously; Maintain collegial working relationships with staff
