Job Description
MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive our expansion into Ford Motor Companys component supply chain. If youre currently selling functional plastic components into Ford Motor Company and have a strong network within their engineering purchasing or program management teams-this role is built for you.
Essential Duties:
- Serve as the point person to introduce and champion MMIs engineered plastic components into Ford Motor Company programs.
- Leverage your deep contacts and knowledge of Fords systems to identify opportunities and influence supplier selection decisions.
- Navigate the organization through Fords Q1 certification and Job 1 milestones.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering quality and program management to support quoting proposals and program execution.
- Attend customer meetings plant visits and industry events to build lasting relationships and identify trends.
- Represent MMIs value proposition of innovative design precision molding and value-added assembly.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years in B2B technical sales ideally with an engineering or plastics background.
- Bachelors degree in business engineering or a related field preferred.
- Current or very recent experience selling functional plastic components to Ford Motor Company.
- A robust network of contacts within Ford (engineering purchasing and/or advanced product development).
- Proven track record of winning new business and driving RFQ activity into awarded programs.
- Familiarity with Fords supplier systems expectations and launch protocols.
