Cardiology Tech Invasive (RCIS) Mary Immaculate Hospital
The Cath lab and Interventional Holding teams at Mary Immaculate Hospital
are growing! We are looking for Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialists to join our dynamic team and provide GOOD HELP to our cardiovascular patients.
In our lab we perform a variety of cardiovascular procedures such as diagnostic and interventional vascular and cardiac procedures pacemakers defibrillators as well as insertion of Cardiosave Intra Aortic balloon pump. We have a variety of cutting-edge technology such as iFR with SyncVision from Philips for the team to provide the best outcome to our patients. The patients that undergo these procedures get pre and post care in interventional holding where they also assist with transesophageal echo tilt table tests and cardioversions.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position -
Assists physician in performance of all cardiovascular procedures demonstrating competency in all positions (scrub monitor and float). Analyzes and interprets collected procedural data provides effective patient care at all acuity levels. Assists in precepting new employees and students to departments organization and function. Maintains inventory and charges appropriately for procedures performs all procedures per protocol participates in quality assurance and performance improvement programs as requests. Equitable participation in call coverage required.
Licensing/Certification
BLS Basic Life Support (required)
Advanced cardiac life support by end of orientation period (required)
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (required)
PALS (required if pediatric lab)
Education
High School Diploma (required)
Essential Job Functions
- Age Appropriate Competency: The employee is able to demonstrate general competency in providing Age Appropriate Care as indicated by the ability to plan provide and evaluate care based on the physiological psychosocial intellectual and safety developmental needs of the patient.
- Utilizes appropriate processes and documents in accordance with TJC and other regulatory standards for each patient admitted transferred or discharged for the invasive procedural area..
- Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to function in all roles (scrub monitor and circulate).
- Function as a qualified team member (QTM) in the administration of moderate sedation under the direct supervision of the physician where applicable.
- Provides care in compliance with establish policies procedures and standards of care.
- This may include administration of medications contrast starting IVs. IV fluids under the direction of the physician or nurse as prescribed or indicated by the patients condition and or physician orders.
- Enters patient data in the angiographic archival system and operates/ monitors digital x-ray acquiring system.
- Operates equipment in accordance to industry standards and patient safety
- Accurately records and charges in the electronic medical record.
