We are proud to represent a well-established CNC Machine Tool Builder in their search for a CNC Field Service Technician to support customers across the Midwest region (IL/MI/OH/IN). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician to join a growing team that values precision customer service and technical expertise.

Position: CNC Field Service Technician
Region: Midwest (IL MI OH IN)
Salary: Up to $100K Sign-On or Referral Bonus
Travel: Up to 100% within territory

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer locations to install repair and maintain CNC machine tools and related systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues.

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Interpret technical drawings schematics and documentation for diagnosis and repair.

  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding status timelines and technical updates.

  • Submit timely and accurate service reports and documentation.

  • Maintain professional relationships with customers vendors and team members.

  • Stay up to date on new products tools and technologies through ongoing training.

  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability in all service-related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred.

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with CNC machinery service and repair.

  • Skilled with precision measurement tools (dial indicators micrometers etc.).

  • Strong understanding of rotating machinery spindles and precision bearing assemblies.

  • Working knowledge of CNC controls including troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • High-level diagnostic and troubleshooting ability with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard service reporting tools.

  • Must hold a valid drivers license and be comfortable with extensive travel.

  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently under pressure.
