We are proud to represent a well-established CNC Machine Tool Builder in their search for a CNC Field Service Technician to support customers across the Midwest region (IL/MI/OH/IN). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician to join a growing team that values precision customer service and technical expertise.
Position: CNC Field Service Technician
Region: Midwest (IL MI OH IN)
Salary: Up to $100K Sign-On or Referral Bonus
Travel: Up to 100% within territory
Responsibilities:
Travel to customer locations to install repair and maintain CNC machine tools and related systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Interpret technical drawings schematics and documentation for diagnosis and repair.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding status timelines and technical updates.
Submit timely and accurate service reports and documentation.
Maintain professional relationships with customers vendors and team members.
Stay up to date on new products tools and technologies through ongoing training.
Demonstrate ownership and accountability in all service-related tasks.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred.
5 years of hands-on experience with CNC machinery service and repair.
Skilled with precision measurement tools (dial indicators micrometers etc.).
Strong understanding of rotating machinery spindles and precision bearing assemblies.
Working knowledge of CNC controls including troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic schematics.
High-level diagnostic and troubleshooting ability with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard service reporting tools.
Must hold a valid drivers license and be comfortable with extensive travel.
Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently under pressure.
