Qualifications:
College hours high School diploma or GED (preferred)
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
School Bus Driver Certification or able to obtain with six months of hire date
Accounting experience (preferred)
Pass annual physical in accordance with state law
Negative result on drug and/or alcohol tests administered as pre-employment random post-accident and/or reasonable suspicion basis in accordance with federal law and district policy
Two Years school bus driving experience
Able to read and interpret maps and routes
Able to climb in and out of all school bus emergency exits
Ability to use PC and software for payroll processing develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Ability to read and understand documents including policies and procedures manuals
Ability to receive and give written and verbal instructions
Effective and efficient organizational skills
Exceptional communication skills
Primary Purpose:
Coordinate and manage the requisite payroll services for drivers with daily monitoring of the Kronos system and coaches on trips. Safely drive students to and from school on a schedule assigned by the Transportation Department. Safely transport students and staff to and from district sanctioned activities. Always act in the best interest of the district the students and the community.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Used:
Radio communication equipment multi-line phone system personal computer copier/fax/scanner buses emergency equipment (triangle reflectors fire extinguisher bodily fluids kit etc.).
Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions maintain emotional control under stress. Continual sitting. Repetitive hand and arm motions. Occasional exposure to noise frequent exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) vehicle fumes and dust. Frequent walking standing twisting climbing stairs stooping bending grasping/squeezing wrist and shoulder flexion/extension.
