Main Function
Provide ministry support within the Care Ministry; specifically through administrative and care support to the care classes we host and support.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource and support for each of our care classes (DivorceCare GriefShare Financial Hope and Lifeline to Hope)
- Assist Care Director with the support and shepherding of care class leaders and facilitators
- Order materials and make copies as needed
- Ensure class leaders are sending out weekly emails to participants
- Manage weekly dinners (ordering coordinating delivery paying house bill etc.)
- Submit and maintain publicity requests for the scheduling and promotion of care classes
- Initiate and maintain all tasks related to registrations attendance and childcare
- Maintain accurate records/registration with Church Initiative (DivorceCare and GriefShare)
- Keep supplies maintained replenished and well-organized
- Ensure class attendance is properly maintained and participant follow up is highlighted where needed
- Keep room set ups and door schedules current; communicate changes with the facilities team
- Serve alongside and as directed by Care Director at Parker Square for all Tuesday evening programming (5-9p)
- Clear understanding of and commitment to modeling our RPC Staff Values
- Actively attend Sunday worship services
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Attend required staff meetings (1st and 3rd Tuesdays)
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Skills& Attributes
- Basic knowledge of or ability to learn platforms/media used by RockPointe Church: TouchPoint eSpace Nexonia Martus Asana Canva Facebook Instagram etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word Excel Outlook SharePoint Teams)
- Excellent organization skills
- Task-oriented mindset
- Ability to interact with a wide range of people compassionately and patiently
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
- Effective and professional email text and phone communications with staff church members and volunteer leaders
- Responsiveness and flexibility regarding time-sensitive changes and/or requests
