JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
X High school diploma or equivalent Required or three years of directly related experience.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
Previous data entry experience preferred. Experience in medical records preferred. Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.

JOB SUMMARY
Prepares birth and death certificates maintains birth and death registers and maintains statistical information relating to vital statistics.
Facilitates reconciliation of issues surrounding transcription.
Reports to: Director of Health Information Management
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review all scanned documents for quality control.
Ensures all documents are lined to correct name and insures scanned documents are postioned correctly.
Analyze medical records for deficiencies..
Responsible for answering telephone calls and assisting visitors (including but not limited to physicians patients and their family members) while maintaining confidentiality.
Assists file clerks with loose report filings
