- East Suffolk Council based at Riverside Lowestoft Suffolk NR33 0EQ
- 16340 (Year 1) - 22070 (Year 2) per annum (National Living Wage)
- 37 hours per week
- Fixed Term training contract for 21 months
- Start date 15 September 2025

A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic apprentice to join East Suffolk Council as an ICT Apprentice (Information Communications Technician).
Your role
Your will provide first line ICT support for East Suffolk Council users logging service desk calls from end-users establishing diagnosing and resolving problems and faults and escalating issues where required. In addition you will work alongside the team to assist with the building and deployment of laptops and the installation and configuration of software and hardware.
What you will need
You will need to have excellent IT problem solving teamwork and communication skills the ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail and a formal educational qualification in ICT or related subjects at GCSE or A-level. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

Apprenticeship open evening!
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding an open evening at our Lowestoft office. This will give you the opportunity to find out more about East Suffolk Councils apprenticeship scheme learn more about the ICT Apprentice opportunity direct from the placement manager and ask any questions you have. The open evening is taking place on the following date -
- Wednesday 21st May 2025 5.30pm - 7.00pm at Riverside Offices (4 Canning Lowestoft NR33 0EQ)
