The Radio Communications Program is a specialized province-wide team within the Natural Resource Ministries that maintains and supports critical radio communications infrastructure used by field staff for safety emergency coordination and operational communications. The team consists of 20 Radio Communications Technologists who are committed to ensuring reliable communications in some of BCs most remote and challenging environments.
The Role
This exciting opportunity supports the maintenance and installation of radio communications equipmentsuch as repeater sites mobile units and base stationsto ensure frontline staff have dependable communication tools year-round. The role offers a mix of technical work field operations and travel by vehicle and aircraft playing a vital part in public safety and emergency response support.

About this Position:
This position has full time on-site requirements.
2 positions available. One position in Cranbrook and 1 position in Nanaimo
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary vacancies.
Auxiliary /Temporary appointment until September 30 2025
Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position but at a lower classification.
