HVAC Estimator / Project Manager
San Francisco CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 8-hour shift On-site
Overview
A well-established residential and light commercial HVAC company in San Francisco is seeking a motivated HVAC Estimator/Project Manager to join its team. This is a growth-oriented role designed to build on your existing skills and prepare you for advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners
- Perform detailed and accurate take-offs from construction plans
- Prepare and manage all pre-bid RFIs
- Handle bid clarifications and addenda throughout the bidding process
- Write and negotiate project proposals
Project Management
- Develop and manage project schedules
- Oversee project budgets and secure competitive vendor pricing
- Coordinate project hand-off with installation teams
- Prepare and submit submittal packages for awarded jobs
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of all materials
- Track and manage change orders and punch lists
- Maintain accurate project documentation and archives
- Lead warranty quality control and close-out procedures
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and resolve project-related issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry
- Proficient with schematics blueprints and project specifications
- Familiarity with RFIs submittals change orders and construction punch lists
- Understanding of estimating concepts budgeting and scheduling
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office MS Project Procore AutoCAD (or similar tools)
