Job Description
The role will focus on the implementation of day to day ICT4D initiatives to ensures the innovative and effective use of ICT in organization s work activities for improved programme delivery operational efficiency compliance with both donors and policies and procedures. Promote the use of Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) solutions throughout the projects
Security Cooperate Systems IT infrastructure and Users Support
Provides first line support advice and solutions to IT users in relation to application data and business process issue ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely fashion
Ensure that system security and organizational compliance processes and procedures are in place and properly maintained
Ensure IT policy procedures and guidelines are implemented effectively to protect Plan from legal liability protect staff from IT security threats and prevent fraudulent activities by staff.
Timely IT disaster recovery to ensure IT business continuity
Complete a monthly IT report on IT initiatives (including IT development in the communities and partners for monitoring progress of implementation of ICT4D strategy.
Complete a monthly Network security implementation utilization and performance report for monitoring IT security incidents.
Complete an up to date quarterly hardware and software report for monitoring utilization of IT hardware and software resources.
Perform proactive tasks for IT infrastructure and corporate applications maintenance
Maintain agreed levels of service provision and service levels
Provide IT support to delivering program outputs
Facilitate information management and usage
Increase user IT proficiency through the transfer of skills to staff
Provide support to purchase committee especially during IT equipment purchase
ICT4D Digitalization and Automation
Support the implementation of new innovations initiatives and solutions new ICT global systems project rollout testing and certification to excel the program implementation and operation in the organization
Introducing innovative digital solutions to improve efficiency and impact.
Effectively drive automation and successfully implement digital and innovation tools including but not limited to sponsorship complex problems and support the organization data collection tools.
Provide quality support for projects to use right ICT4D technologies in project proposal preparation and project implementation foster long-term impact and ensure that technology solutions are sustainable and relevant to the local context.
Management and support programs data entry through technology use and initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Studies or equivalent with 5 years experience.
- Relevant professional qualification and management courses.
- Computer hardware and software systems and Programs
- Computer networks network administration and network installation
- Computer troubleshooting
- Computer viruses and security
- E-mail and internet programs
- Project management
ICT4D skills and initiatives
Understanding of organization s business processes and strategic objectives
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Windows SQL Server Exchange server and communication Technologies.
Database Administration skills
Ability to understand and communicate context and opportunities for IT in development and IT innovation for programs.
