Job Description

Key Role/Responsibilities:
Assist in receiving sorting and dispensing of equipment & materials
Assist in keeping necessary records and carrying out physical inventory taking; inspects conformity
of supplies and equipment according to specification
Assist in inspecting items and all equipment returned on completion of jobs or tasks
Assist in carrying out quarterly and annual physical inventory of the store
Assist in coordinating and reporting stock requisitions as well as carrying out procurement to
maintain an adequate inventory of materials and supplies
Assist in developing a quarterly faulty equipment report with adequate information on the type of
faults and the rate of breakdown
Assist in establishing maintaining and updating files records and other documents; developing and
maintaining data performing routine analysis and calculations in the processing of data for recurring task requirements
Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy work area with a well-organised layout of all stock items
Assist in confirming and authenticating physical items received with purchase orders
Assist in evaluating and recommending suppliers support the approved vendor list and monitor
supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as required. Investigate suspected non
conforming materials/equipment and resolving rejections
Assist in developing and maintaining a vendor/supplier list with quarterly updates to this list based on
market pricing and quality

Requirements

Knowledge of inventory procedures and control
Ability to prioritise and plan workload for daily weekly and monthly intervals
Ability to shelf store and distribute equipment and materials
Ability to maintain good physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities
Ability to maintain motor vehicle forklift and other material handling equipment
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to job functions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations operate and enter information in a
computerised inventory system
Coordinating and time management skills.
  • Experience in IT.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience.
